The majority of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) have been hit hard by economic stagnation and deteriorating financial conditions, incl. high levels of late payments. The recent situation (caused by Covid-19) has revealed the urgent need for financial support for SMEs to promote economic activity and reduce the negative effects of the economic crisis. In response, the European Commission has adopted the "The Hour of Europe: Rebuilding and preparing for the next generation" - instrument, which is essential for the implementation of measures to support SMEs nationwide.
